Product Description  

VAMNE Magnetic Stool/Soil DNA Extraction Kit is applicable for DNA extraction from soil, feces, intestinal contents, fermentation products, water filter membranes and various other samples. The kit uses a combination of chemical methods and mechanical methods, which can efficiently lyse bacteria and fungi with thicker cell walls, and combines special humic acid removal technology to effectively remove humic acid and other inhibitory factors from the sample. The high-affinity magnetic beads used in this kit can adsorb nucleic acids through hydrogen bonds and electrostatic interactions in high-salt buffer solutions. After rinse to remove excess humic acid, proteins, salts and other impurities, the magnetic beads release nucleic acids under the action of low-salt elution solution, thus achieving the purpose of rapid separation and purification of nucleic acids. This kit can quickly extract high-yield, high-purity DNA, and the purified DNA can be directly used for PCR, qPCR, next-generation sequencing, and other experiments.

Experimental Cases

• Good DNA extraction performance

Use Vazyme VNP-32P nucleic acid extraction instrument in combination with DMA510 series (V) and other manufacturers' similar products Supplier A-D to extract microbial genomic DNA from different soil/fecal samples, and perform electrophoresis detection and purity detection on the DNA products. The results show that the DMA510 series products all have clear target bands and are relatively brighter, the OD260/280 and OD260/230 values are closer to the standard values, and the purity is better.

• Compatible with various environmental samples

Use Vazyme VNP-32P nucleic acid extraction instrument in combination with DMA510 series (V) and foreign industry benchmark product Supplier D to extract microbial genomic DNA from various environmental samples, perform PCR amplification detection on the 16s region (full-length 16s) and ITS region (ITS1-2). The results show that the yield of DMA510 series products is superior to that of similar product Supplier D, and both have clear target bands, with a relatively optimal overall detection effect.

• No inhibition in downstream

Use Vazyme VNP-32P nucleic acid extraction instrument in combination with DMA510 series (V) and other manufacturers' similar products Supplier A-E to extract DNA from the same soil or fecal sample, and qPCR detection was performed. The results show that the products extracted by the DMA510 series basically has no downstream amplification inhibition.

• Rich microbial diversity 

Use Vazyme VNP-32P nucleic acid extraction instrument with DMA510 series (V) and industry benchmark products from Supplier D to extract different types of soil or fecal samples. The next-generation sequencing results show: The distribution structure and diversity of bacteria and fungi extracted by DMA510 series are similar to those of Supplier D. Use Vazyme VNP-32P nucleic acid extraction instrument with DMA510 series (V) and similar products from other manufacturers Supplier A-D to extract black soil samples, the next-generation sequencing results show: Compared with other products, the distribution structure and diversity of bacteria and fungi extracted by DMA510 series are more similar to those of Supplier D.

For complex samples with low nucleic acid content , such as mineral soil, sandy soil, coal soil, etc., it's recommended to use Lysis Buffer Pro (Vazyme #DMA5101-C1) instead of Lysis Buffer provided in this kit. Please apply for Lysis Buffer Pro separately.
